The GEMBOREE committee would like to wish all our lapidary friends a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

As this year draws to a close we are happy to say that the GEMBOREE arrangements are all but concluded and ready to provide us all with a great Easter event. Camp site registrations are flooding in now and we would urge everyone who wishes to camp on site to send the camping form in as soon as possible.

Those who are working on entries for the competition remember that the competition closing date is Friday 3rd February at 3.00pm and your entry form, fees and any postal entries need to be here in time to be eligible.

Bundaberg, like so many other areas of the country, had a rough start to the year with flooding causing problems in the CBD and areas close to the Burnett river. However rest assured that we have recovered and are well able to host guests from all over the country and overseas with a wide range of accomodation and services available to those who don’t wish to camp on site.

We look forward to seeing you all and having an enjoyable week of friendship with a great bunch of people who ( like us) have “rocks in their head”.
